For the second year in a row the team ends on top in the fastest class

It was only a matter of time, but it is now official. Wave Freem eSports #1 has officially won the DPi class. At the end of the 1000 Miles of Sebring Arisi, Corazzari, Malghera and Klop could finally celebrate after an all season-long dominance. Despite some battles earlier in the season with JAESA #20 and Cetrez Nitor Velox #30, the title has never been in discussion.

#1 has won 5 rounds out of 6, missing out only in the 12 Hours of Daytona, when wild card Energy Racing Team #83 managed to beat Wave Freem’s Cadillac. The team can now finish in style trying to win the 8 Hours of Spa and, especially, the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Fights for LMP2 and LMGTE titles are still wide open. Wave Freem is currently leading the standings in LMP2 as well with #47, but BHK Motorsport #16 has been a big threat throughout the season and needs to bounce back after underperforming in the last two rounds. In LMGTE #51 will have to fight hard in the remaining rounds to recover the gap to front-runners ELTA Customs #97, keeping an eye behind as well, as VeM #90 is looking strong.
