Hear what the drivers had to say after the 6 Hours of Spa

Luca Martino – ARMS Cyrba #41 – P3 LMHC

Well, it was a difficult race, in qualifying I was unable to complete the lap due to various problems and consequently we found ourselves starting in the middle of the group; from the start we had problems, losing about 3 laps from the leaders due to an accident and from that moment it became a comeback race, as far as I’m concerned we have abundantly contained the damage, the situation on the track was very complicated which led to many uncomfortable situations. Personally I did a mediocre stint with many errors due to my lack of experience on the car, Marco did some great stints and all in all we managed to finish in third position. Happy but not what we were looking for. See you in VIR.

Pawel Andrzejewski – Hyperion Esports #44 – P1 LMP2 PRO

After really strong Season 4 for Hyperion Esports, which was our debut in endurance racing, we doubled the stake, entering the prototype class with two teams. Preparing for the race we did know, we have strong pace and we will be able to fight for the top result. But I couldn’t have imagined we will snatch the 1-2 in class at the season opener! That’s an excellent start to the Season 5. Both teams did deserve this achievement. We had shown strong pace both in full wet and dry conditions. It was real pleasure to see our cars lap significantly faster than our rivals. Special distinction goes to the #45 team who managed to achieve this result in truncated line-up. We hope Maciek will fix his issues by the next race. This result doesn’t mean we will stop on that. We had some mishaps that we intend to eliminate in the future Rounds. Next up is the Virginia, the track we managed our first podium in E-racing Series and we are hyped to race in that venue once again.

Pascal Eggert – Fijne Avoond Motorsport #444 – P6 LMGTE AM

Overall strong pace from our both Fijne Avond cars, the 444 being taken out twice by impatient hypercars didnt help on top of individual mistakes. in the end decent points for how the race went, looking forward to the next ones.

Michal Nizio – FUTUR #5 – P1 LMP2 PRO-AM

It all started with a difficult decision to make as we knew at some point it’s going to start raining so it was a matter of choosing dry or wet setup for the race. We decided to go for dry only for qualifying session to post a decent lap time. Then we loaded the wet setup for the race. Small mistake at the start by putting on mediums rather than softs. We didn’t know when it’s going to start to rain so we decided mediums. Obviously it started raining just before green flag. Steady start didn’t go into any incidents. First couple stints for me were very calm and I was just trying to get the car around the track with the 100% track and rain conditions. Was unlucky to get in two small incidents.

Clean two stints by me. Passed on the car to Antti in tough conditions as there was a narrow dry line. Antti managed to do a good job on softs and managed to double stint them without any major problems. Until…… Code 80 came and we had a small love tap from #47 which took off our rear wing just after the pit entry. We lost approx 2 minutes as we went into the pits just at the end of Code 80 After all of these small issues we just managed to cruise the car home in P1 Pro-Am and P3 LMP2 overall.
