Tough conditions in Indianapolis spiced up the 2 hours event

EES comes back to racing right where it left off. Season 3 Finale, the 24 hours of Le Mans, was a mixed conditions race and so has been the first official event in Indianapolis. Rain caught by surprise the majority of the field, but has been for sure a good chance to test cars and traffic in tricky conditions.

Salvatore Zitiello was fastest in qualifying

Different drivers, same result. Wave Freem starts on a high in LMP2. Andrea Riccelli, who decided to race solo like many others, won the race by a large margin leading Patryk Szwajkowski (Hyperion eSports). His two teammates, Kikko Galbiati and Federico Soave, shared the car and ended in 3rd place. ARMS Cyrba had to settle for 4th after leading the race for 31 laps and topping the timesheet in qualifying.

Otreba and Ragni fighting hard in the midfield

Wave Freem also got a 1-2 in LMGTE, as Scalvini and Arisi finished ahead of poleman Gabriele Cossu. Promising signs shown by the HG Esports BlueBolt team as Cossu’s teammate, Giuseppe Saracino, was doing well before retiring due to an accident. As always, LMGTE midfield is looking promising in regards of wheel-to-wheel battles. Before the rain started to fall down on the track, Schenkels (ARPIEM Simracing), Otreba (Panica Gaming), Zanrosso (HG Esports BlueBolt) and Ragni (MR Motorsport) lighted up the show. In the end, it was the ARPIEM simdriver to get 4th place ahead of Brian (Les Casse Cou Simracing), Otreba and Lo Manto (Streetwise Esport).

With the preseason event done and two new entries coming to the grid, we couldn’t be more excited for the season to come.
